It is not worth it to exercise just to exercise. We exercise because of where it can take us. The views that we can see. How it makes us feel.
Training at TransformDojo is about what you do because of the workout.
Most martial arts schools focus their training on kids and train adults too because they are very similar to train so it only makes sense to get parents in on the benefits. Like other schools we do teach both adults and children but, unlike them, we start with adults.
This comes through in many ways. One of which is, when you try TransformDojo, it is a private session not a group class.
Martial Arts and all the training we do here can be easily adapted to any fitness level. The regular private sessions our members get ensure that they have good form and are pushing themselves to their level and not someone else's.
You will learn Kenpo Karate if you train at TransformDojo. Most martial artists will argue that their art is the most useful in the real world and they will have good reasons for that claim.
We believe that Kenpo is the most practical of the tradition Martial Arts because it teaches a wide range of hand strikes, kicks, takedowns, locks, and wrestling. All of these will help you remove yourself from dangerous situations.
Class types at TransformDojo range from Kenpo Karate to Conditioning.
Kenpo Karate classes start with a warm up include stretches and focus on teaching the material required to reach the level of Black Belt. We have both kids and adult Kenpo classes.
Kickboxing classes are focused on improving cardio, letting you push harder for longer. We also learn to kick, punch, and move like a fighter. We have both adults and kids options.
Conditioning classes are the closest to traditional workouts we get at TransformDojo. Because we get fit as a fighter here, we always add a fighter twist to the exercises we do. Usually for adults.
Kids Fitness classes are for our kid members and are fun cardio pushes that often involve obstacle courses and games to get kids moving and fit as fighters.
Most of our At-Home options are designed to supplement In-Dojo training. These help you remember material, guide you through workouts, or some combination of the two.
Many of these programs can be done alone without the In-Dojo training so they are available as a stand alone service and included in membership.
We try to include as much as possible in the membership. The only thing that is not included right now is testing.
